Dicaprio is on a career high and his close association with Nolan’s film is expected to set the box-office on fire

Inception
Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page and Tom Hardy

Directed by Christopher Nolan
Releasing 16 July

Inception is a sci-fi action thriller. Directed by Christopher Nolan, it stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard among many other popular names. Nolan, whose previous credits include The Dark Night, Batman Begins, The Prestige and Momento is also the scriptwriter and producer of the film. Coming from such an adroit director, it is a must-watch.

Dom Cobb (Leonardo Dicaprio) is skilled in the art of extraction, a futuristic method of stealing ideas when one is dreaming, essentially when the mind is at its most vulnerable. His genius has made him a quite a player in corporate espionage. It has also cost him much grief and everything that he has ever loved. Opportunity strikes as he’s confronted with a new deal that could give him his life back. But there’s a catch: instead of stealing ideas, he’s bestowed with the challenge of planting a new idea. It’s an arduous task as he and his team look to accomplish the impossible. But a dangerous enemy lurks around the corner and seems to predict his
every move.

Dicaprio is on a career high. After closely working with director Martin Scorsese on Shutter Island, his film with Christopher Nolan is perhaps the most awaited movie of the year. Clearly, he’s the DeNiro of our generation. The film also stars Page, of Juno fame. With her intelligence and charismatic presence, she will add much substance.  Will Cobb succeed, will he come out scathed or will this last job be his nemesis? Watch the film to find out more.

Reliving Magic
Disney’s Fantasia inspired Nicholas Cage to explore the world of sorcerers

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Jerry Bruckheimer, Teresa Palmer,
Directed by Jon Turteltaub
Releasing 16 July

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is inspired from the Sorcerer's Apprentice segment in Disney's Fantasia. Classified as an action adventure film, it stars Nicholas Cage. This awesome film comes from the same producers who gave us the National Treasure franchise.

Balthazar Blake (Nicholas Cage) is a modern-day sorcerer living in Manhattan. With his sorcery, he defends the city. However, there’s Maxim Horvath, his arch nemesis, who is hell bent on destroying the city. Blake must protect his city from her advances. However, he realises that he cannot do it alone. He must enlist the help of someone else to protect the city from doom. The help comes in the form of Dave Stutler, an unlikely hero, an average Joe who demonstrates latent potential in sorcery. Blake gives the unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art of magic and together, they must confront the impending doom before it’s too late.

Cage, himself, came up with the idea for the film. He wanted to do something on the lines of Disney’s Fantasia. We suggest you watch it for its action sequences.
